BRING A ... WEEK

In January, the S.R.C. sponsored a
Bring A ... Week!
Students simply had to 
bring the required daily item 
and they received a treat, courtesy of the S.R.C.
 
 
MONDAY: Bring a MUG, get some HOT CHOCOLATE
TUESDAY: Bring a BANANA, get a BANANA SPLIT
WEDNESDAY: Bring $1.00 for diabetes, get some POPCORN
THURSDAY: Bring a SMILE, get a KISS . . . a HERSHEY KISS
FRIDAY: Bring a can of POP, get an ICE CREAM FLOAT 

DECEMBER EVENTS

FOOD HAMPERS: We collected non-perishable food items for our food hampers during December.  These food hampers were delivered to local families. We were able to deliver 12 food hampers!  Thank you for your generosity during the holiday season.
 
 
CANDY CANE SALE:  Students and staff had the opportunity to buy Candy Canes for someone special at lunchtime during the week of December 11.  Candy canes were $0.50 each. Over 400 candy canes were handed out! 

HALLOWEEN PARTY

ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH,
THE S.R.C. HOSTED A HALLOWEEN PARTY FOR THE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS.
 
AT THE HALLOWEEN PARTY, THERE WAS A HAUNTED HALLWAY,
WHICH WAS GUARDED BY SCARY WITCHES, ZOMBIES AND BUTLERS. 
IN THE HAUNTED HALLWAY, THE STUDENTS EXPERIMENTED WITH BRAINS, ORGANS, SEVERED FINGERS AND OTHER GOOEY CONCOCTIONS.
 
.THERE WAS A GRAFFITI COLOURING STATION AND PARACHUTE GAMES IN THE GYM
AS WELL AS THE ADRENALINE RUSH BOUNCE HOUSE
AND THE BASKETBALL BOUNCE HOUSE
TO KEEP THE COSTUMED STUDENTS ENTERTAINED.
 
POPCORN WAS SERVED TO THE STUDENTS IN THE HOME EC ROOM.
 
THE AFTERNOON WAS TRULY SPOOKTACULAR

MAGAZINE REWARDS

We held our Magazine Rewards Assembly on Thursday, Oct. 27 in period 4.

At this assembly, we had our top sellers attack

some S.R.C. members with spray hair colours and razors.

Nicole was "beautified" by Breanna

Kate was "beautified" by Cherise

Brandon was "beautified" by Bailey

Cherise was "beautified" by Bailey

Brandon's legs were shaved by Shelby

 

Other top sellers threw Pie in the Face of some very brave teachers.

Mr. Tavanetz was "pied" by Kyle

Mr. Shepherd was "pied" by Aidyn

Mr. Harris was "pied" by Evan

Mrs. Gabrielli was "pied" by Matthew

Nicole was “pied” by Samantha

 

Our school earned a Movie Afternoon, which will occur in December.

 

We also named winners for:

 $100 ~ Breanna P.

$50 ~ Blake G.

 Cowboy Drink Hat ~ Zack K.

Giant Earbud Speakers ~ Morgan H.

 

Top Selling Grade 7 and Grade 4 had their Pizza Party Lunch on Friday, Oct. 28 at noon.

150 Subscriptions sold = Pie in the Face *ACHIEVED
(Top selling students will throw "Pie" in the face of some brave Teachers)
 
300 Subscriptions sold = Waxing and Colouring Hair *ACHIEVED
(Some SRC members will get their leg hair waxed or head hair spray-coloured)
 
450 Subscriptions sold = Movie Afternoon *ACHIEVED
(for the whole student body)
 
600 Subscriptions sold = Ice Cream Sundaes
(for any student who sold a magazine subscription ~ YUMMY)
